Creative Writing

In addition to music and art, I am also an ardent writer of creative fiction. My writing ranges from historical fiction novels to fantasy and adventure books. Some of my projects include stories such as Bird of a Feather, Under the Sky, Snail Tails, and Kaleidoscope.

Kaleidoscope

As a historical fiction novel, Kaleidoscope allowed me to combine my love of jazz, creative writing skills, and a history research project for school into a 150 page novel. This book follows the development of jazz in America by exploring the genre’s historical impact and musical elements from the point of view of a family of musicians.

Under the Sky

A fantasy fiction novel exploring themes of friendship and adventure between two unlikely teens:

When Robin’s family dragged her away from her life in the city and out to a picture-perfect town by the sea, she was anything but happy. Just as she felt as though her life had fallen apart, however, someone unexpected fell straight into it, quite literally in fact. Although Frost and Robin come from two completely different worlds, or rather, levels of the atmosphere, they find that the challenges they face are similar and, over time, the pair of them form a strong friendship. Under the Sky follows the two characters as they fall into the unknown and find their way out together.
